This wasn’t used in the UK, but is now over-used for everything from giant cranes to small hand tools. Normally by those who get a semi from such subject matter.
I work with a nice enough Canadian guy who doesn't seem able to construct a sentence without 'kinda like...' being included in it somwhere- starting to drive me nuts!
Whenever anyone says this to me I take it literally and end the conversation. Did it in a disciplinary hearing at work, the bloke was completely dumbfounded. It obviously wasn’t the ‘end of’ what he had to say and he was extremely upset when he received a sanction based on the small amount of info he’d given before ‘end of’.
Makes me a bit of a nob too I suppose but I hate the pig headed arrogance of ‘end of’.
