Seeing how well the relegation scrappers are perfomring of late, I have changed my mind now and think that 37 will be the magic survival number.

Just about to watch Southampton get 3 points here to cap a miserable sunday for us.........Come on Liverpool!!!

38.

Must Win v Swansea, and then at least a point needed from the Arsenal and Everton games.

38.

2 of our remaining fixtures are must win.

4 of our remaining fixtures are must not lose.

I'm honestly not one for saying which of our games will be which.

Personally I think 33 will keep a side up, all be it on goal difference.

I think 1 or 2 teams will collapse from here and only end on low 30s but I can the final place being unusually high, maybe even the magic 40, but probably 38+.

I think as clearly all the team who have been shitehouse, all season, are now f****** brilliant, we need a bazillion points from the remaining games.

The points are being shared at the bottom with draw after draw. This has lowered my pre-season figure of 40 to 37 or 36 on GD.

It’s all about April away days for me. If we can do something at Smellhurst & Turf Moor, I think we could have at least 4 more wins to enjoy before a satisfying World Cup summer.

38 to avoid the last day frights or maybe even with them. 36 or 37 may turn out to be OK but that will leave us waiting on other results.

Anyone reckon we will be mathematically safe before the last day of the season?

Burnley v AFC Bournemouth
Crystal Palace v West Bromwich Albion
Huddersfield Town v Arsenal
Liverpool v Brighton & Hove Albion
Manchester United v Watford
Newcastle United v Chelsea
Southampton v Manchester City
Swansea City v Stoke City
Tottenham Hotspur v Leicester City
West Ham United v Everton

I have a nagging feeling eating away at the back of my mind that we'll be relegated with 38, despite trying to protect my sanity with the lie that 36 should be enough.

That final day could be tough for us, staring into my crystal ball shows potential wins for Palarse, Hudders (Arsenal probably won't have anything to play for by then) and West Ham, with Swansea/Stoke potentially being massive. Think the race for the top 4 will go to the wire too, with Chelsea, Spuds and Liverpool playing for third and forth behind the Mancs.

Under those circumstances I fear we may well need favours to survive.

It's in our hands, win the next five and we're safe, so let's hope we can smash a cocky Swansea and take it from there.

Well at least we know that only 2 of West Brom, Palace, Swansea and Stoke can win on the last day.

So get at least 2 points clear of that lot, and 4 ahead of someone else before the last day - and happy days.
