Like this, though would drop March & Bong by a point, give Schelotto one more as he worked tirelessly, and give Kayal a 3, as he managed to put his kit on the right way round, which is about all he did.

Stephens? Dale Stephens?

It's incredible how different people see the same game differently.

I'd agree with most of that but did thing Bong was decent despite him and others not closing down quick enough or intensely enough for the goal. Thought the team played pretty well overall tbh.

I’d drop a point each for Propper, Bong and March. Agree otherwise. Stephens the clear MOTM. Never a pen too.

Favourite Albion goal since....last week?
But actually I thought today's goal was better.

Tony Gale said on the live stream that Stephens should be in the England team cue loads of people now claiming he's world class.

Personally, I thought he was much better against Southampton at home. He played well today but no where near as good as some are now claiming thanks to Tony Gale's judgment.

Yep, it's all because of Tony Gale. Nothing to do with our eyes.

Probably, because we had the limited view of the game compared to Tony Gale. Gale was complimenting how much ground he covers, something you can't really pick up on when streaming a match. Tony Gale's opinion has obviously helped your match analysis of him.

Jose, Dunk, Bong and Schelloto had better games IMO

Gale clearly doesn't watch us week in/week out. Stephens, on his day, IS a classy player, with time on the ball and able to spray it about all game.

Stephens was good today, and he's one of my favourite Albion players, but he's no where near consistent enough to even be mentioned for England, unfortunately.

I did enjoy the way Gale praised our lot throughout the game today though :)

Schelotto who wasted countless opportunities for first time crosses/passes by trying and failing to beat his man? Good defensive display, not his usual self going forwards.
Bong (who I have defended tirelessly on here) the one most directly responsible other than Shaqiri himself for their goal?
Jose was so bloody good because Stephens repeatedly and quickly kept finding him out wide.
Dunk, I'll give you this one, ran him close.

Shaqiri really does shine like a diamond in a goat's arse.

What the feck is he doing wasting his career there.

Hang on a minute. Gale also said how "classy" Stephens was.
I also think Stephens was indeed classy in his performance today.

You forgot to mention Proppers poor header in the middle of the park led to the goal also.

You're now making it sound like we played pretty badly today and were carried by 2 men. :lolol:

A good team performance and a great team goal.
