I had to look her up as I had never heard of her and then found that she is performing or more correctly singing at The Assembly Hall as she doesnt appear to play any instrument. Mind I have to look up many singers etc now.

I think the song "Cats in the Cradle" would have been a bit different if Mary had been the daughter of Harry Chapin. Actually MCC's father's first name was Chapin, Chapin Carpenter.
Harry Chapin would be 75 if he was alive today and since MCC is 60 Harry would have been one young father in 1958.
The common relative that MCC and HC have is Samuel Chapin.
