No chance. The club had no interest at all in making the CP game sell out. Too much hassle. They kept the numbers as low as they could.

So why the endless anger on NSC from those who went on the night, towards the 10,000 to 15,000 who couldn't be bothered?

If you're correct, the club engineered the low crowd and should solely ave received that NSC anger.

Not engineered maybe, but think they were happy with the outcome.

Selected for TV and shunted to a school night, let’s not reduce the prices, it’ll keep the numbers down and limit the hassle (and policing costs).

Can’t speak for the anger personally, up to anyone whether they choose to go.

go.

Barber explicitly says they weren’t happy about Palace in programme today because unsurprisingly his job is to shift tickets. And he spends about 1500 words going on at great detail how he likes to shift tickets.

He gets some things wrong but today a lot was right.

But nonetheless idea that
Club are either incompetent (made wrong decisions obvious to even year 6 school kids !!) and can’t sell out unattractive cup game v a L2 side or the other side of the coin - genius evil ticket sellers who can fix low crowds or high crowds depending on what they fancy but cos it’s FA cup or Palace - they’d rather nobody turned up at all and fix it accordingly - are both frankly bonkers.

No shelf open despite family areas being sold out long before the upper tiers were opened and that there was only 2 blocks of family stands instead of the usual 3.5 + shelf. So why not shelf?

What’s your point? all tickets were priced the same wherever you were sat today. Kids and families were sat all over the stadium. But have a moan about nothing anyway.

This 100%. Dispelling theories and know it all judgements on the board of directors.

Why didn't they do that for the Palace game then, a game that any Albion fan could have told you would have a significantly lower attendance than a winnable Saturday 3pm 5th Round tie with great ticket prices?
I'm amazed the club didn't hear the collective groan when the 3rd round draw was made.

I thought this was a good opportunity to try something new so I went in the East Upper for a change.

Never Again. Back to the North. Barber Out !

Top marks to what seemed a fellow northstander displaced to WSL (W1H Row F) who when persistently told by a couple of ol' dears to sit down, went to get angry but quickly realised the futility of it and then laughed at himself for getting angry so early. Made me smile anyway.

Afternoon kick off ESU is one of the very few occasions I feel a baseball cap is acceptable attire.
The others are playing baseball and driving a truck.
