Top, top professional, excellent CB and also seems like a decent bloke too. Must be a fabulous guy to have around the squad. Hope everything works out for him - if we let him go someone is going to get a bloody good defender in.

He’s been great for the club, always positive and supportive, even when not playing. The way he stepped up last season when Duffy got injured was brilliant, didn’t miss a beat and ensured we got over the line. Would be a shame to see him go but at 32 he will surely want to spend his last few seasons playing rather than on the bench even if he has to drop a level.

Agreed. With his contract nearly up, and with his family and children back in Germany, it seems perfect sense to return home and finish his playing career there.

For selfish reasons it would be nice if he stayed in England

Never really got any kind of run out with us. Gutted for the player. Was considered a major asset at Paderborn. Has always conducted himself with complete dignity at the Albion and always stepped up to the mark here when called on to do so. Seems a very decent bloke. I understand that his family remain in Germany where they run a farm, so maybe would be best for all parties if he were to get a gig nearer home.

Well said, never let us down and a really good example to the U23s the other evening.

I would try to keep him too. Dunk and Duffy won't always go through practically a whole season with injury or suspension. Goldson on loan to The Championship, and an experienced but ageing old hand to come in for one season to be 4th.choice. Somebody who'd like another £million in their pension pot before hanging up their boots.

I think we should move him on, as solid as he is. We require better back up in my opinion.

Hoes goes to ground far too easily, and lacks pace

A top championship defender for sure, I am sure he wants to play and should be playing somewhere at a decent level.
