Shows what a difference a fit Wood may have made plus Stokes as there was no reason to not allow him to travel and play as the ECB have shown with their recent actions. The reasons given for allowing him back could just as easily have been appliep pre Ashes.

One hell of a batsman though. Maybe in our test side at 38/39 we would have competed better than having James Vince or Gary Ballance in the squad. I’d have 11 bell ends who can bat any day of the week.
