regardless of the others, if we carry on as we are we will finish bottom or possibly second bottom.
If we improve a bit, we will be relegated.
Only if we significantly improve will we avoid relegation.
On the plus side, I believe that if every team is at their best, there are three worse teams than us. Just about .
Swansea, toon and hudd. Possibly West Brom but unfortunately I reckon pardew will get them playing .
The others are having a little dance around relegation. The likes of stoke and West Ham won’t go down.

Newcastle are probably the most similar to us out of those you listed.

+ Pragmatic approach - "let's keep it tight for the first half and then see what we can do"
+ 4-5-1 system or a 4-4-2 with a deeper shadow striker
+ Kept much of the core of their Championship team
+ Relatively solid defensive line in open play
+ Young homegrown central defence with players that were touted for England (Dunk, Lascelles)
+ Creative midfield player than can drift in and out of games and doesn't always deliver, but on their day is a force (Gross, Ritchie)
+ Tidy passer as part of the midfield pivot (Propper, Merino (although he inexplicably hasn't been given a consistent run in their team))
+ In need of a striker (Although our situation was more severe than theirs still is) but the profile of striker they need is different to ours
+ Can't string more than 3 or 4 passes together without giving the ball away
+ Experienced manager that the players are playing for

Differences

– No trusted first choice goalkeeper
– Little money to spend in the window
– Mike Ashley being a bit of an unpleasant fellow
– Deadwood that still cannot be moved on and is eating at the wage bill
– Better at defending corners
– More experienced squad

Just as likely as us to go down, if not more. The only one I'm confident on however is Swansea who I think are finished now that they're 6 points off safety

I reckon it will come down to these 5.

They all rarely win and lack 'game changers'.

For us, it boils down to whether the Board give CH the players in this window to start winning. Fingers crossed that Locadia is part one of that jigsaw.
We're gone.

Wrong manager. No one else gives a shag.

Nothing has changed this weekend except our goal difference has got worse than expected. -22 GD predicted now.
