'Loaning' is the key word here, perhaps? We do play young loanees in our first team (Brown, Tomori, Akpom (shudder), etc.) but players who are actually ours do seem to go into a sort of Bermuda Triangle of U233s never to be seen again (I know the academy is new, and I hope that will change in years to come).

Really? they must have 6 or 7 fullbacks in their 25 man squad. If he goes there it will definitely be for their U23s or straight out on loan.
