I always thought it was just Engerrlund that gambled by taking injured players to World cups.

This is the 1st case of a relegation threatened club allegedly buying an expensively injured player to sit in the treatment parlour that I can recall.

I think I'd actually rather stay as we are and save the cash for next season.

NSC - following the scrolls of transfer tradition.
1. Write him off before he’s kicked a ball
2. Watching some basic YouTube clips and proclaiming a superior knowledge of Football over everyone at the club
3. Comparing him to any other player we’ve signed from the same country
4. Disregarding any scoring record he has because he’s played against some shocking defenders
5. Suggesting some signings we ‘should’ have made based on ones knowledge from a Fifa game

#Togther :)

Averaging a goal every four games over the past three seasons. (Circa 25 in 100 games). If he repeated this for us over the next three seasons (say 8 goals a season) it would be a poor return for the outlay.

He's been injured for 5 weeks, for all we know he could be fit for Soton.

I'm going to say maybe, yes. Not afraid to shoot, keeps the ball down, seems to have some skill, a bit of pace......yeah, why not

Just wondering how this is going to end. Here are the current odds:

1) Stays at PSV after BHA doctors find a mysterious injury. 10/11
2) Signs for BHA and plays for us in the next 2 weeks. 25/1
3) Signs for BHA and remains injured until the last 5 games of the season. 8/11
4) Signs for plucky Bournemouth or moneybags Southampton. Player says it's an "exciting project" amid rumours AFCB/SCC are prepared to pay him treble what we were offering. 6/1

I'll go for #4 as they are woefully short of strikers.

Or he could be injured for a further 10 weeks?

This is a poor joke to sign an unfit player with our meagre resources, given the urgency of the situation.

You think we would sign him if he’s out for another 10 weeks ?

Pretty sure the medical will cover these fears...

5) He checks the English tables, and decides Wolves have better prospects 1/2

Good point. The club definitely won't have thought of this and be undertaking some kind of "medical" examination to check his injury. Jesus wept.

I read he wants to play for Man u, so he needs to keep his nose clean and turn on the style for a couple of seasons, could be a good little earner for us......and PSV with the sell on clause
