In the unlikely event of Corbyn having two terms as prime minister with a decent working majority this country wound end up as socialist as Germany, that well known lunatic Marxist state.
As for your contention that Momentum are Militant in New clothes, there may be an element of truth in that there are a few old faces turned up. Though similarly I've been on an away trip with Brighton and spotted a man of my acquaintance with a serious hooligan past among our support but that didn't make us the Inter City Firm.
Meanwhile momentum is doing a good job of dismantling the structures of Progress, the actual entryist undemocratic bullying force in the Labour party, but being right wing neo liberal is moderate apparently.
So what are we in currently with our record debt, record defecit, no public assets, record homelessness, record poverty, record children in care, record waits in hospital?
I'm glad you're moving in a bubble where all is rosy but things are far worse the the majority of the population.
Whatever your take on spending priorities I don't see how you can get lower than a government that spends millions fighting freedom of information requests so we can't find out how many austerity kills, and hounds disabled people to despair and death at a net loss to the taxpayer.
None of that happend under 3 consecutive Mr Tony governments. If you want to go back into the distant past to make a point I give you an East London tory election slogan from the 60s: 'If you want a n****r for a neighbour, vote labour'. I would prefer to compare the present tories (not racist) and the present labour (who knows, to be fair, but not in hock to unions like in the 70s). The past is another country.
Seriously, the majority of people don’t actually work in public service, how the hell are the Labour Party ever going to help anyone but those is public service?
Here is a reality for you Ernest. I recently was at a trade fair touting for business. I was chatting with the head of a company that I was hoping to deal with in the future, during the conversation one of his staff came over and interrupted and invited me to donate to the company's chosen charity. This was a perfectly legitimate charity supporting an admirable cause, but not one that I associate with, I have my own pet causes. What do you think I did? Yes, I handed over £20. There was no way in the world I could not do so in front of the Managing Director whom I was trying to sweet talk Did I try to claim it back? No, as I knew my accountant would laugh at me.
But as an MP I wonder just how many times they are asked for charitable donations, probably multiple times per week I would guess. And whatever the MP does they are on a loser, be it financially if they donate, loss of goodwill if they refuse, or in reputation if they try to claim it back in some way.
But hey ho ERNs, you are OK there in your ivory tower, having never broken any kind of moral code no doubt

Er ? confused by your angle here ? support for public services means the removal of the wage cap of 1% and actually putting money in to funding those services rather than the current slow decline and loss of things we once held dear. Why should public service workers at the sharp end have their wages cut year on year by a combination of little or no pay rises and inflation ?...
