How can you forget about Sako when writing about Sakho?

We've been trying Bakary up front because we're so desperately short of numbers, but he has never previously been a centre forward at any point in his career. He's a winger.

But it must be obvious just reading NSC that the vast majority of fans ignore the works of the players that their fellow players rate highly for their contribution to the game.
But when players are asked about fellow pros and respond lavishing praise on their opponents, they're often remembering experiences from a decade beforehand. Gareth Barry is case in point - he's been playing at this level since the late 90s, so it's hardly a surprise that age has seemingly caught up with him.

I fully accept that about age but to have his experience to call on for the last 10 -15 mins as we have with Sidwell in the past I think would be an asset. Who else can you suggest to fill that role with Sidwell said to be out for the season.

Delaney at Bremen, lets not fill the squad with players that may play for 10-15 mins ! Lets improve the squad and give Propper, Stephens and Kayal some stiff competition even if it costs 13 million.

How many £13m has TB got to spare as we need to improve the squad but other than an experienced man to cover Sidwells position we do not need a midfielder as desperate as a striker.

As much as you are right that's a hell of a chunk of money to come out of the striker fund.
A much needed Delaney type deal ought to be on hold now, till the summer.

Deal confirmed. The fee is believed to be £14 million. Huddersfield doing their business early again.

For what it's worth, it's being reported round our way as being in the £10m range. Wagner even said in his press conference that the reports in the media (£14m) are way over the mark.

Good for them, and a good signing.

Whilst they certainly had more work to do than us at the beginning of the season due to all of the loans, they obviously have a good strategy and have effectively gone about improving their squad.

??? where's this idea that doing your business early guarantees success? We failed to get a striker, we're 12th... It's no secret we need one, but commenting on Huddersfield getting business done early means nothing when they're 1 point, 1 goal better off isn't making a point whatsoever.

How much money have they spent on someone we wanted for the Championship? More fee, and he won't be leaving Norwich for less money.

Spending more and more money doesn't mean good business.
