Not going as it would mean;

6hr round trip
Day off work
Kettled in the car park afterwards for nearly an hour
2 x reserve sides
Monday night
On TV
Passed caring what others think

Would have gone if;
I lived a bit more local
We hadn’t played Palace for years
Guaranteed the club took the FA Cup seriously
Was the quarter final onwards.
Saturday game

Other than those reasons do you have an excuse/sicknote? :thumbsup:

Over 20,000 miles round trip. Over £2,000 travel cost. Around 60 hours travelling time.

Think I’ll give it a miss if that’s OK. I’m just a fair weather fan.

Talking of which it was 40° here yesterday:cool:

With respect your place isn't here. Your place is starting a new thread asking:

"Does anyone know which bars in Sydney/Melbourne/Adelaide/Brisbane/Perth* are showing the Palace game?"

* - delete as appropriate

Not sure there will be many bars showing it out there at 06.45am!

Would most certainly attend it was an afternoon kick off. 80 mile round trip on a cold Monday night, not for me.
It would be around 23.30 when I was back indoors. Too much for me, basically to watch a reserve team play at my very advanced age. Being a STH I have seen all premiership games so far and will continue too, God willing.

I’ve got a meeting in Darlington in the afternoon so going to do well to just get back to London to watch on TV. The whole event has become thoroughly depressing though to be honest and has really devalued our rivalry.

I think the point being made is those going and therefore not voting will not get to see the poll results

I see. The poll closes tomorrow afternoon. Results public then.

I don’t understand the ‘It’s a reserve team game’ argument. Is that what people really go to football for? To see specific players play? How the hell did these people cope for 90% of our entire history when our players have been shit?

I can’t imagine thinking ‘Shall I go and watch the Albion today? Oh, I better check which players are playing first, before I make my decision’. It’s almost as strange an excuse as ‘it’s a Monday night’, when we got almost 30,000 for the might of Stoke City the last Monday night we played.
