Please do leave. If you can't accept a different viewpoint from your own then a forum like this isn't for you.You live in a fantasy world and cannot see reality.I find your viewpoints laughable. It's so easy for people like you to claim misogyny because it's an easy cop out.Go away and bore someone else.

You’re a coward and a bully. And the repulsive views that you’ve shown throughout this thread need to be stood up to. If you’d read many of my other posts on this thread you’d know I’m no staunch feminist, but there’s a difference between not agreeing with modern day feminism as a movement and being a misogynist. Your views are clearly the latter and it is scary that such cowardly viewpoints are still allowed to be aired on here with no repurcussions.

Complex area and some will obviously had horrendous experiences which I would condemn but I thought the following is interesting, Reported by the BBC

French actress Catherine Deneuve is one of 100 well-known French women who wrote an open letter, warning about a new "puritanism" sparked by recent sexual harassment scandals. The letter by French women writers, performers and academics was published in France's Le Monde newspaper on Tuesday.

"Men have been punished summarily, forced out of their jobs when all they did was touch someone's knee or try to steal a kiss," it said.
"Rape is a crime, but trying to seduce someone, even persistently or clumsily, is not - and nor is men being gentlemanly a chauvinist attack."

You're a complete over the top hysterical bully who cannot handle someone else's viewpoint to the point you keep on banging about my right to post on here. You are totally self righteous and your over the top pompous attitude shows you are someone who cannot debate. It's easier for you to hurl insults then to try and win an argument with sound facts.Go back to your PC ass kissing snowflake world and come back when reality hits.

So your opinion (not 'FACT') is based on your belief that women being second class citizens for hundreds of years is a fallacy and that during this time they have had ample opportunity to prove themselves as more capable than men? And you think all this despite not being able to offer any evidence to support your opinion (not 'FACT').

I think misogyny is the least of your problems.

It's always easy for people to lie when they cannot win an argument through fact.As you know I have never said that women have not been treated as second class citizens for hundreds of years.Yes they have had plenty of opportunity to prove themselves but obviously not to the level men have.My point is that even if from today society went all out to give women all the opportunities they wanted you would find in 30 years that men would still be the prominent sex in the world.Part of this as you know would be as a result of a woman's biological desire to have a family which in many cases dwarfs any desire of a career.Even those who are very career conscious as you know having children can seriously affect the position they reach.Whereas many women have this need for children,a man without the interruption of having children can go foward and pursue his career. It has/had been a man's position for years and years as you know to be the main bread winner which in turn has meant we have been more focused on working/careers etc, looking to the future from a financial aspect, ploughing ahead and achieving higher roles. This is not my opinion,.You know this to be fact.Things have changed and whilst it seems in the majority of cases men bring home more money,he is no longer the only breadwinner in most cases.Women no longer want to be stay at home mums. They want to work and are being given more opportunity to do so.Even in some cases being given a position based on their sex and not on ability. It's called PC.I appreciate you are a liberal snowflake like others on here however you will find that what I've said would be backed up by more women than not. They are not all militant feminists but many are realists.

Well done to her but am expecting the militant feminists to come down hard on her.

To get back to the original point, I think it is a generational thing. I have always regarded it as good manners to hold a door open to a female and always do. In the same way I always look to offer my seat to someone who I think needs it more than me on a bus or train.

Manners cost nothing and I have never had someone chastise me for holding a door open or suchlike.

Blimey, Renegade and Sussex Guy 2k2 are certainly going at it, hammer and tongs.
They are never going to agree and as the plods say; 'there is nothing to see here, move along please.'
Ah well, call me old fashioned but I celebrate the differences between males and females and long may it continue.(you can tell I am of a certain age 'cos I have only mentioned M& F )
Surely most of us whatever sex, get along in society ok with each other; and whilst there will always be' differences', generally the system works.
Evolution is more often than not a better option than revolution, not least because extremists look for revolution and entrenchment generally follows as each side digs in and constructive discussion goes by the board .
Inequality can be a catalyst for revolution, but I have to say, that I reckon in our part of the globe, the issue of women's equality has made great progress over the last few decades and there is now little justification for ,let us say, the more strident approach.

I’m a 46 year old woman who considers herself to be a feminist. I don’t expect to be treated any different from men. But if someone holds the door for me, I would smile and say thank you. I think there is a misconception about feminism and that all feminists hate men. Which in my view is not correct. I have a basic rule of respecting people who respect me. I don’t care if they are male or female!

You keep using this as a point to beat me with, yet in post #144 I gave a retort to your misogynistic crap from post #137 (I believe) and you've yet to actually argue any of the points back, yet alone with any factual evidence (as stated by BadFish I believe). The only part you've questioned is the bit about me stating that your misogynistic views shouldn't be accepted on this site. You've not given any reason why such misogynistic views should be allowed and why women should be allowed to be degraded in the way you have in a number of your posts. So until you actually enter back into this debate with valid points, rather than acting like an ignorant and petulant child because you've been told that your view is cowardly and should be stood up to, then can you just stop wasting all of our time with the trolling. It really is getting to the stage where I think you might be a Palace fan.
