It was a dream made in heaven - England's biggest club and England's most successful coach of recent times since Sir Alex. Then along comes Pep and pisses all over United's chips.

Not only that, but Citeh are getting the sort of love for their football that United never got, even in the heady days of Giggs, Scholes and Cantona, a nationwide love not seen for one side since the great Liverpool side of the late 70s / early 80s.

Because Man City are not the greatest team of all time yet.
Real Madrid in the 60s
Liverpool 70s/80s
Barcelona last several years .

They have a long way to go to match them.

I have always disliked Man U but had a grudging respect for the Giggs, Kancheskis, Cantona era teams, they were incredible to watch.

IMHO, what he said was the truth. United weren't outplayed and BC did get lucky. And he went on to say some nice things about what it means for them and how special nights like that are for football. Didn't see anything wrong with his interview although I, like many others, are growing tired of his general displays of grumpiness.

Any football fan had to respect that United team, but would neutrals go out of their way to watch them? This City team is destroying teams on a weekly basis and if they are on I will watch them - normally if it's not Brighton I wouldn't give a sh1t.
