Plus at some point in the competition, say, the semi-final stage, or maybe even the quarter finals, the club would suddenly have to start taking that cup run very seriously indeed, piss off all the second string players who had got them to that advanced stage by replacing them with the first team choices, and then go into merchandising overdrive.
