Not acceptable in modern sophisticated football where possession is everything, Shirley? It only gives away possession, in all cases - the other team either get a goal kick (they've regained possession) or a chance to kick off from the centre spot (they'll have regained possession again)......... All right for kick and rush football - or hoofball a la Allardyce if you prefer. Not for us, if you please!

The player who will probably have the most opportunities to have a go from range this season is Gross, and he seems to be much more about placement than lashing it.

Stephens and Propper just rarely get into positions to do so, and if they are, they are encouraged to play it out wide and make a run into the box.


Agreed. Gross always wants to place the ball rather than lash it though........as for Hemed.....1min 33.......

Skalak scored a couple of crackers from outside the box, But agreed, I would like to see Davy have a ping now and then.
