What ? Even those stewards that were injured in the trouble, I believe that 2 are still in hospital.

Unless you were involved, you cannot know the extent of the trouble. Did you witness the ticketless Palace fans rushing the fire exit and leaping the barriers ? I don't think you did, I which case I think you need to make an apology to those stewards involved.

I'm sure this wasn't in the BBC report earlier:

Chief Inspector Simon Nelson said it was the worst example of disorder and violent behaviour he had experienced in 12 years as match commander and said away supporters "attempted to enter the ground with pyrotechnics, knives and knuckledusters, which were found following efforts to gain access through fire exit doors in the south stand".

All three men have been bailed to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on December 14.

A 26-year-old man from South Croydon and a 15-year-old boy from Brighton were both arrested on suspicion of throwing or discharging a missile. They have been released under investigation.

A 51-year-old man from Worthing, arrested on suspicion of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress, remained in custody at 1pm on Wednesday (November 29).

Your own clubs statement recognises there are some low life following palace and are a bit embarrassed and are refunding those of your own who got dumped on. Fair enough

Not sure how the Police engineered the situation where Palace fans packed smoke bombs and crow scarers alongside their sandwiches.

Let off a loud bang in a public place in this day and age ? Children were crying.

Palace have a small hooligan problem and it's easy to excuse their behaviour because it was a derby, but this isn't a throw back to the 1970s but an odd adolescent "nod" to Italian "ultras".

Not only are away clubs fans (apart from Brighton) uncomfortable with the behaviour but so are Palace fans.

The first step in solving a problem is admitting you have one and that's a message to the owners of CPFC.

Blame anybody and everything one as much as you like. The only people who are gonna sort it are you.

They have many fans that live in and around the Sussex area, from Hastings to Littlehanpton and Haywards Heath/Crawley in the North. Also I think they have a number who live down here in Brighton and attend Sussex Uni.

Uni palace fans had told others they were going to bunk the turnstile as they reckon they have done this at other grounds and they would meeting mates in Brighton for 9am(bit early) The Brighton lads and police not as sorted it would appear. The whole thing is down to Palace fans but considering the resources deployed it was shocking policing on the night.

Just my thoughts here. It has been said that a number of CP fans were escorted around town for 90 minutes, were they at any time checked for tickets? Then a line of OB around the south entrance checking for tickets (as is the case at most grounds). Any pushing at that point and just slam the doors closed.

I was quite shocked and amazed that we were stopped when coming up from uni car park to the west side of Falmer station. As ‘to quote’
A steward ‘Palace hooligans on train approaching’ we stayed that we could get over the bridge as the train was not even in. They refused so we watch a bunch of kids in hoods march off with an initial police escort then that escort seemed more concerned with us. I can assure you we were just normal
Fans no issues, maybe the crime of laughing at this little hoodies who tried to be tough in a group, but would run a mile if odds were even. They then went up the slope to the stadium up the slope towards west/south and Police left them to cause mayhem, saw a man getting attacked for no reason and fireworks thrown at us. No police now. We got into the west stand 1901 entrance as their were running past. Police really cocked up
Big time, fact think they should have kept with them. The rest you know. The main culprits are the hoodies, and this Palace should come out and condemn them and not get saying they have the best fans in the country, they don’t, as proven many times. Mr Parish you have a major issue you need sorting and as for Mark Brights comments on Twitter, How does he have a job on the Palace staff with stupid comments like he said. Sort it Palace for the good fans you have are losing patience with these scum fans.
