I really, really hope Unsworth does get the job!
If we can go into December with him at Everton, Pardew at West Brom and Moyes at West Ham then our survival hopes will have been given a massive boost!

About two thirds of a season, in fact.
They are shite.
Even for allowing for the fact that they've brought in a fat has-been living off past glories, I had assumed they'd finish about 9th or 10th (I never understood why some pundits thought they were going to be challenging the top 6). They are in disarray because they've:
* rebuilt an entire team overnight
* been absolutely fleeced for £44m for a midfielder who was never worth anything like that
* signed the wrong centre back
* expected a 40 year fatty to successfully lead the line simply because he was a boyhood Evertonian. Everybody else knew he was a busted flush 5 years ago.
I know there's a long way to go and they won't go down, but they are dreadful. I now wouldn't be surprised to see them finish 15th at best.
