The 27-year-old will miss Everton's game at Southampton on Sunday and at home to West Ham on 29 November.

Not keen on going down this route. Refs are not biased and give as they see it. Players miss open goals and refs make mistakes. The best ones make fewer. Also think a lot different looking in slow motion . Hemeds sums it up half of tv pundits thought yes and half no. It is about opinions and refs should be the important one. Different if player headbutts or punches a player and ref hasnt seen it

Whilst I agree that refs may not be biased, players are making it very difficult to give penalties as they keep on diving. Stamp out the diving and it will make it easier for the players. This wont stop the 50/50 or 80/20 decisions, it is just for the very clear dives.

That said, I still think a points deduction is more of a deterrent than a player missing two games.

Lee Mason should get banned for two matches for deceiving us of a penalty! Absolutely no come back against referees having a howler. First he pointed for a corner when the ball didn't go out of play, then handball, then gave a goal kick(even though the ball didn't go out)..which by it's very nature meant that Shawcross didn't have contact with Murray, therefore it must have been a penalty! An apology would be nice Mr Mason.
