Americanised originated nonsense it may be, and I doubt anyone here would queue outside a store at 2am in order to fight over a slightly-reduced dodgily-branded widescreen TV.

Additionally, Black Friday isn't until next week but in the fine spirit of these things, some sales have already started. Post any bargains you find in order to help part other NSCers from their money.

Black Friday.

Otherwise known as Amazon use one day to screw over every other retailer. I know it pays NSC ad revenues, but I can see Black Friday being great for the behemoths and bad for the small guys. Hey ho, that's life.

And it's as bloody stupid as us celebrating 'Thanksgiving'. Anyone in the Uk that does that who isn't American should be strung up!

It's not just Amazon though? There'll barely be a retailer that doesn't have Black Friday offers on.

I know, but the big boys will be able to suck it up more, and in doing so they reduce the market for other retailers. That's life though.

I remember spending around 230 minutes trying to buy a cheap laptop from Dell last Black Friday. I'll go again this year, but, by the physical might of Andi Peters, I will emerge triumphant, and with a machine that breaks down in around 12 months with unworkable Windows 10 updates.

Yesterdays tabloids warning people ordering on line for home delivery to ensure the delivery point are secure as many couriers will leave parcels in bins at the doorstep wherever. It said to just provide an alternative drop off point and also if you do not receive the goods it is is THE SUPPLIER who is responsible and should bare the cost of replacement. How many people who do not sign for a laptop or similar will say they never received it.

What I think is already clear is that the "deals" on offer are already proving to be more expensive than this time last year. The rise in prices really is beginning to hit.

I'm waiting to see if they reduce the DJI Mavic Fly More package at all.

I've just seen one offer which might interest others.

If you have NOW TV, you can have four months of Sky Sports for £25 a month instead of £33.99 a month. Just remember to cancel near the end of the 4 months. It's on offer until 23rd November.

Last year I made a list of the things I wanted and the pre BF price. I only bought if they went down. Got some bargain garden lights except you are limited to just one of each item sometimes.
After a decent Bluetooth speaker, the Anker sound core 2 now £40 target £30
