I hate way the missus hates the way I hang the washing out.

This - plus I'm aware that our dishwasher loading paradigms are utterly irreconcilable. She can't understand why it's not a good idea to have the sharp knives pointing up out of the cutlery bit.

Done a Frexit, now in London
Have just spent the last 20 minutes or so washing drying & putting away a myriad of pots, pans, plates and cutlery which apparently were required to cook a single course f*cking meal.

I am sure I could have prepared & served it with about a third of this.

I dearly love Mrs Jakarta but even after 20 years of marriage this sort of shit drives me crazy - am I alone? :annoyed:

No, not at all. I call the wench, 12 pot carbonara. F**k knows how she makes so much mess when making dinner and manages to use almost every pot and pan in the kitchen. Drives me nuts.

The other thing that drives me nuts is the Procrastination Act e.g. 'I'm off to Chichester/Horsham to do some shopping'.

Rather than getting the car keys and waving me goodbye she doesn't actually leave and will still be hanging around the house an hour later doing something clearly vital to our lives but unknown to me.

Very often she then decides she doesn't need to go today in any case. WTF?

Yeah it's pretty annoying when you're just about to fire up Pornhub.

It's not the amount of pans/dishes that is the problem, I just wish she would put the worst ones in to soak whilst we eat. Its an absolute pain scrubbing dishes for 15 mins trying to get lasagna off.

My pet peeve is that we can sit in silence whilst the adverts are on, but as soon as the programme starts she wants to talk about her day......FFS!

Sounds like mine. I swear she can't so much as boil an egg without using every pot, pan, saucepan and utensil in the entire kitchen. And the amount of HAVOC strewn across the kitchen sides as she cooks has to be seen to be believed. Empty packets, open containers, lids, blobs, cutlery, entrails, straw, gravel, roadkill, you name it.

Now when I cook, I obsessively clear up as I go along, so the only bit of washing up there is left to do are the plates, knives and forks that we've just used. She is the complete opposite though, and of course if she's cooked, I'm the one left with the clearing up.

But at least I get to spend some quality time with Alexa.

Mine's the same - I hang it up and then she re hangs it. It's still going to dry whatever way it hangs!

It's all about peg marks.

As an side, I am the opposite to a lot on here. Wife can cook a seemingly complex meal with limited utensils and have everything packed away and cleaned as she goes, so that when she finally serves, the kitchen is clean and clear. Me on the other hand, I literally use everything, don't pack up as I go, by the time I serve a meal, you could be forgiven if you asked when the other 20 people were going to arrive...

I assume that's that amazon echo device, and not the name of your bit on the side?

Maybe its a cry for help.....

Mrs T does at least realise that you don't put new cooking in the oven before the last Nagasaki has been cleaned up (by me) and uses the hob (to crate a new Hiroshima) instead.

One other thing that bugs me is when the dirty stuff is left, unrinsed, overnight, and then a full sink of hot water used the next day, complete with half a bottle of Fairy liquid, to deal with the incineration, with so much bubblage the kitchen looks like Cleopatra bathes in it.

Anyway, enough of that. At least she doesn't piss on the bathroom floor (like what I do).

My evening started by stubbing my little toe in a HUGE way on a Door Frame such that it now looks like Mike Tyson's hence my mood was not improved by the pile of washing up that confronted me.

Happily a glass of Malbec has taken the edge off things... Mrs J forgiven.

What does Mike Tyson's door frame look like?

The rest of the Potting household are big fans of "Outnumbered" and are frequent viewers of it on their digital devices. I cannot stand the show or any of the charactes.
