Interesting to see Withhold at the head of the market @ 5/1 for the Northumberland Plate this coming Saturday..
He landed a few of us a nice little touch last year in the Cesarewitch (and an even bigger touch for Tony!) - trainer admits that this race has been the target ever since - I’ve availed myself of some of that 5/1 this morning... assuming he’s on the starting line, you’d imagine that he would go off much shorter on the day.....

3/1 clear favourite on bet365 today.
Anybody fancies cheering on the guvnor's horse to glorious victory today, catch the 2.05 from Newcastle on ITV.
Looks like they are targeting the Melbourne Cup with Withhold and in order to get into that race they probably need to be winning this.. there’s a few negatives to consider but I’m in and will probably go again, he won me a nice few quid at Newmarket last time out so owes me nothing.
I have nothing to back this up whatsoever but given that Mrs Bloom is Australian and their strong connection to that country, the Melbourne Cup connection (the race that stops a nation) is what makes me believe that they’re going to go all out to win this today.....

Interesting to see that Withhold is currently 25/1 for the Melbourne Cup on bet365. Could be a tad shorter after today.

How did it run the last time on the AW ?
2nd back in 2016 at Kempton.. running for Khalid Abdullah and not Tony who appears to have bought the horse shortly after. Best form on turf but only that one run on the all weather so far.
On the drift slightly this morning but worth keeping an eye on the market in the next few hours, expecting him to go off shorter than the 9/2 currently available. Still clear favourite

WOW! Super confident pillar to post 5/1 winner. Horse was patently sent out to win as the jockey looked over his shoulder about half a dozen times throughout.
