At mine, in the middle. At the gf’s on the right (which is where I’ve been with most exes I believe). Not that there’s any particular reason for it that I’m aware of.

It's been such a long since there were only two people in my bed I honestly can't remember.
What’s the theory and how will this poll test it? Unless the theory is Brighton fans are more likely to sleep on the right/ left I don’t understand. Get a big enough sample and it has to be 50 / 50.

My Mrs always chooses the side that is further from the door. It's sweet that she thinks I am brave enough to sacrifice myself in the event of an intruder rather than cower in the corner and cry.

I'm a man. So as has always happened in each of my various flats and houses, I sleep on the side nearest the window/furthest from the door. We all know ladies need a wee every 5 minutes. So in this bed I am on the left.
I also happen to be left-handed, but that's not the reason I'm on this side.
