Brazil have equalised, our keeper spilled it, and they scored the rebound.
1-1

That was great stuff , can't help feeling if Brazil will score again but their defence looks equally like they will concede a few , looking forward to the 2nd half .

England's age-group teams are superb right now.

In theory, the main team will be absolute QUALITY in 4/5 years time but we all know it won't happen because the powers that be don't give a shit about the England team.

It doesn’t necessarily follow though. Youth football is a bit odd, as is evidenced by Mali being one of the other semi-finalists.

In 5 years time England will have a decent squad but be managed by some binner like Eddie Howe.

True, but you would expect that, with the English football infrastructure, good young players would work their way up the pecking order.

The reality is that no Premier League manager, with the exception of Pochettino, will gamble on young English talent and give them a run.

cant agree with that , reckon could go through every manager and point to at least one English player they have gambled with.

True, but it should be 5,6,7 players that they have gambled with. All the time clubs can go out and buy the best foreign talent from where ever at what ever cost, these boys will end up going backwards to stand a chance of going forwards.

Sadly true. They won't play them, of course, certainly not regularly in the league - just lend them out all over the place until they get fed up and stop trying to improve.
