Only if they play there all season. Can’t play at two home grounds in one season.

That is indeed the current rule. I reckon Levy will probably grease a few palms and weasel his way around it though.

Should be made to play all their games away from home for the entire season. We all know they're cheats.

I'm not too clued up on the rules or whatever, but they have already got around what they are said to be as their match against Fulham is already scheduled to be played at Wembley, with Liverpool being the first game at the new stadium. They are now considering playing some extra matches at Wembley, but they still plan to move to the new stadium this season.

Ouch knocking back the NFL, shows their concerns the other month were correct. Hopefully the U23 will still get to play the test event at a later date.

I'm sure the only reason the U-23 match was selected was because of its timing. I don't know definitively, but I would be amazed if it was re-arranged. I imagine it will simply be played elsewhere on the same date, and another Spurs U-23 fixture will fulfill the same role.

Possibly in hindsight two seasons at Wembley would have made more sense and a cheaper build cost

60k new ground in 18 months will still be quite impressive to pull off - IF they move in this season

Do you know what the purpose of that rule is? Why does it matter if a team plays at two home grounds in a season?

I'm asking the same questions too. Surely the FA should want clubs to be providing safe, decent stadia and so they should be doing all that they can to help - rule-wise?

In rugby union last season Saracens played home matches at Allianz Park, Twickenham AND London Olympic Stadium.

Out of curiosity does anyone know what the "critical safety system" issue is?

They've got a problem on October 28 because Wembley is already booked for the Eagles v Jaguars game. So they may have to play Man City at Twickenham or even the London Stadium - which would be a rather nice chance for Spuds fans to find out what playing in Stratford would have been like if West Ham hadn't lost the trace not play there ....

I imagine Levy and the FA will say it’s the same agreement they made, just slightly later.

Which is very unlikely to be true, but nothing to do with financial inducements of course. Who could possibly suggest such a thing?. Fifty point deduction would be appropriate though - then we'd just have to worry about finishing above Huddersfield and Cardiff........................

.....which might not be easy if we continue to play as we played against Watford!

Just heard on the radio that they will now have to play all 3 of their Champions League group games at Wembley. Not sure what the situation is on that front if they progress.

None of this is very surprising. Its looked a mile off being ready for months now.

At a guess, I'd say its officialised Levy waffle that basically all boils down to "its nowhere near ready".

Losing that NFL game will have cost them a pretty penny as well, and must be fairly embarrassing. I wonder how many Spurs fans have bought their season tickets thinking they'd be there for Liverpool, and are now stuck with going to Wembley again for Fulham, Liverpool, Cardiff and who knows how many more games.

Shambles, really.
