So, I sure you can see what this but I want not only the dish but the adjectives used to describe this fayre ie it wasn't just x, it was a blah blah x. You can guess at the price as well.

Go!

Was it on the menu as......?

Pulled cheesy roadkill and thrice drowned pomme frittes with a side of leaf mulch.

Cheap sub roll, cheap cut of minute steak (4oz ?), slice of local cheddar, a few chips (look ok to be fair) and a teeny side salad for colour. £8-9 quid in local gastro pub. Pointless basket optional.

Can some please explain the point of the basket for the chips?

It's been the derigueur way to serve them in hipster restaurants for the past couple of years. Also if those deep cut, chunky chips haven't been fried thrice times, I'll be slightly concerned that they're letting themselves down slightly.

Any use of the word "artisan" ? I'll be disappointed if not.

Disappointment for you my friend, and a missed trick from the menu writer.

Go!

I bet you are the first person to bang on about 'poverty' and 'unfairness' and probably hates the 'evil tories' and yet you post on here about the poor cuisine in the corporate lounge........hypocrite.

And joking aside I assume it was palatable? Ps fridge all sorted?

£18 for that? Their margins must be incredible. That is an absolute robbery.

Did it at least taste like an £18 sandwich?

It was palatable but not £18 pounds worth of sandwich. My brother had this by the way; I demolished a full English and a cuppa from Divalls Cafe.
