The question I have is where can you legally use in the UK in our densely populated isle

Fraser gets around 30 minutes flying time from one battery.

The wind speed will affect this. The other night, he was flying over one of the cruise ships sailing out of Southampton and the battery warning light came on. He turned it round to fly it back but the wind was against him and when the drone was around 1km away from him, it just landed. They don't just drop out of the sky, there is enough power to get them down but they literally come down right there.

He was shitting himself but found it nestling in a bush, still giving off the residual GPS signal.

One potentially very expensive lesson learned.

I got the impression that the one in the vlog must have had some kind of failure rather than battery power. Being over the sea was just unfortunate.

As a follow-up to this, in a later vlog of the World Flight series he loses his drone. It's taking a slow shot passing over the sea and then just drops into the sea for no apparent reason. And that's it - it's gone. Does that happen often?

Expensive failure. It's like flying a wedge of bank notes worth £1000.

This iPhone case/drone made me laugh. I mean it won't go far, but imagine literally waving goodbye to your iPhone. (And what do you control it with, anyway?)

I find this "if it lands in my garden I'm going to smash it to smithereens" mentality rather odd. Do you do the same if a kid kicks a football into your garden, i.e. run out with the kitchen knife, stab it, jump up and down on it etc?

It is illegal to not see the whole of the drones flight not illegal to fly over stadiums if you have permission.

Well, yes, but you can go drag racing down The Strand if you have permission.

Two-year-old news story.

We covered that it's illegal to fly over stadiums.

I guess it's easy to prosecute when you put the videos on Youtube

He did catch the Arsenal goal though.

Those were the glory days of drones and relatively few restrictions.

DJI users are geo blocked from flying over/near stadiums now (although you can get around it).

Corrects/improves all the things I didn't like in the Spark:

3-axis gimble
Battery life
Rear sensors
Folding arms
RAW photos

Expensive (£949) for Fly More Combo though. Controller is a MUST imo.

The only thing I think is a weakness is it has WiFi not radio comms between the controller and drone, which limits its range v the Mavic Pro.

I would expect there to be some price changes, and in fact the Mavic Pro might come down in price as a result.

I would only be interested in the Fly More combo...
