People keep saying that it looks shit. It's temporary, so doesn't matter.

It was a smaller project, but the same was done at the aquatic centre for the 2012 Olympics.

The only time I've been on the west upper at the rear, was at the Rod Stewart concert and had to watch the show on the big screens as Rod was a pin prick in the distance. Give me the north or west lower every time

limited space above current North Stand / South stands, for another tier, within current stadium design, and would be hard to change structure?

I've always maintained that the Amex is expandable - similar to what was done at the Etihad by taking out the north or/and south stand trusses and building a double tier stand. Still possible to make it a 50k stadium folks.

If you remove the trusses, or the roof, the whole thing collapses.

The 6000 seat expansion to the South Stand at the Etihad cost £60m. I wouldn't hold you breathe just yet...
