Bruno - 8 - superb. Wonderful to have him back MOTM
Duffy - 8 - a rock
Dunk - 6 - some immense blocks but it was his turn to have some incredibly fortunate moments after being far to casual in possession
Suttner - 7 - in the words of Shed 7, getting better all the time
Stephens - 8 - bosssed it
Propper - 7 - another good game
Gross - 7 - some sublime moments.
March - 7 - our best attacking player again
Knockeart - 6 - had one of those days. No end product.

I'm enjoying Pröpper's increasing contributions to the team especially after his rabbit in headlights debut. Very understated but reads game very well and did a lot of back-tracking today.

You're only giving all those points because we won. I bet if we lost you wouldn't be so generous.

Wonderful first 45 minutes of football from both teams. More positive attacking play from Brighton in the first 15 minutes than I have sometimes seen in an entire game. We looked very very good except when we defended too deep at the end when our defence did a great job keeping Newcastle out.

And the best atmosphere I have experienced at the Amex, particularly the last ten minutes. And all the real thing without the need for flags or clackers. Well done the fans. Tremendous job.

Where was Murray? Not even on the bench?

Ryan 7. A couple of super saves, but some wayward kicking.

Bruno 7. Very good game and great to see him back, but on a couple of occasions he got caught upfield leading to dangerous Newcastle attacks. Not sure whether the problem was him not having the legs to get back, or others not covering adequately for him.

Duffy 8. Tower of strength apart from one wayward pass.

Dunk 8. Same as Duffy. What a defensive pairing!

Suttner 7. Settling in well. Best I have seen from him. One lovely chip down the line in the second half.

Stephens 7. Better from him. Great downward header to Hemed for the goal.

Propper 7. Probably noticed him less than any other player, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Seems to have developed a better understanding with Stephens.

Knockaert 5. Not at his best. Poor decision making on a number of occasions and slow to track back when he lost the ball.

March 9. Superb game both attacking and defending. He has taken to this Premier League thing like a duck to water. MOM.

Gross 7. Another good game particularly in the first half. Only thing he lacks is speed.

Hemed 9. Held the ball up really well throughout the game. and won just about every header. Lots of positive running and a well taken goal. I didn't think he'd cut it at this level, but so far he's proved me wrong.

Subs:
Murphy - not on long enough to rate.

Manager 9. Got just about everything right, but we need to stop sitting back to defend leads and inviting pressure.

Fans 10 Brilliant!

Ryan. 7.5. I have been critical of him to date. A very strong performance today. I may have been wrong about him
Bruno. 8. He's back. We win. Legend
Duffy 8. Won every header (as always). Return to top form.
Dunk 7.5 he belongs at this level. Going to have to stay up to keep him.
Sutter. 7.5. First time I've noticed him tbh. Thought he was excellent today
Knockert. 6.5. Foul of the season. Contender in the first half. Glimpses of magic no end product unfortunately
Proper. 7.5. Settling in now. I like this fella. Getting better every game
Stephens. 7. A couple of wayward passes in the first half. But another impressive performance
Solly. 8. The boy has grown up. Another strong game all over the park
Gross. 7 decent. Great save from knocky denied him
Tomer 8. Great goal. Strong performance. Not good enough? Good job he doesn't think so.

Murphy. N/A. Why? I like him. But there's 13.5 m worth of winger on the bench next to him. Surely he needs to come on? Or have we bought a pup?

we looked like the brighton of last season.
Bruno was superb going forward, March is maturing into a potential international player.
Not for the first time hemed scored with possibly his most difficult chance.
Massively encouraging performance.

Ryan 8 - Looked much better today.

Bruno 8 - Captain leads by example.

Dunk 8 - Strong, dominant partnership with Duffy. Kept the Magpies at bay.

Duffy 8 - As above.

Suttner 7 - Defensively okay. Lacks going forward.

Knockaert 6 - Needs to grab a goal. Looks like he's trying too hard to shine.

Stephens 8 - Growing with confidence. Very composed.

Pröpper 7 - Went about his business with minimal fuss.

March 9 - Brilliant. Getting better and better. Goes forward with confidence and puts in a great defensive shift. MOTM.

Groß 7 - Run around a lot without much impact.

Hemed 8 - Working his arse off to show he's good enough to be out no. 10. Took his goal well.
