What's the most expensive music related item you have purchased?

I bought an Arcam cassette player for £750 about 25 years ago. Each unit sold included a £50 charge to Dolby. I never really used it and I ended up playing nursery rhymes (not the genesis album) on it, as our daughter was born shortly afterwards. I bought some B & W speakers for my flat for £1200 at roughly the same time and we moved into our present property. They're in the lounge and we only ever use the cheap small speakers in the kitchen. In the 22 years we've been here I must have got 2 hours use out of them. That reminds me, I must put them on Gumtree. Anyone want them at a vastly reduced price?
