Drives me nuts when commentators use the expression "xx failed/managed to get that ball under his spell".

Footballers are ball kickers by trade and not public speakers.. In fact it amazes me that some can manage to string together a coherent sentence and some cant do that, Rio Ferdinand springs to mind as well as a certain former Albion Goalkeeper.
