It's not for me. To be honest I think that there is already ample access to PB, and I don't have a desire to sit him down and ask him anything. If I did I'd send him an email (and book the afternoon off work to read through his reply). But then I am a licker so I would say that.
Lol @ taking afternoon off to read his reply.
Any chance of live streaming this for those of us unable to attend in person?
Beam back?

It should be of little surprise that Paul Barber has come good on his suggestion to take a Q&A with NSCers, and has proposed the following dates as possibles:

Wednesday 13 September

Thursday 21 September

Monday 25 September

The event will be at the Amex (although a City centre pub has been suggested and may be a more practical alternative) and run from 7-9pm.

I'm of the opinion, and I've said this to Paul, that I think the serial detractors will not be brave enough to come along and be as 'robust' as they are on here. I also think that the great silent majority broadly feel content enough to not feel the need to give Paul a grilling.

However, the offer is there. If you would come along, please select the date (or dates - multiple responses are allowed) that you could make. If there is sufficient appetite then we will get things arranged. It could also make for a fun NSC Social before, during and/or after the Q&A Session itself. I might even buy people a beer.

Over to you...

Will there be free tea?

I will try and make any of the dates if it's held in town, I think it would soften his image a bit as well. In my opinion, he doesn't need to. He has got to be one of, if not THE, most accountable CEO in football. The level of transparency from the club is unrivaled to the best of my knowledge.

For this to really work better, can I suggest it takes place in a hostelry in the centre of the city - similar to what Tony Bloom did in Bristol last November?

I know people like to go to the stadium, but it is a traipse to get there, so somewhere central could be mean there being a better turn-out.
Says someone who can afford to live in Brighton! The stadium has free parking!

Still, point taken.

I'd love to come along to this, if only to see some of the serial detractors put their points across and then be made to look ridiculous with common sense answers.

Yep, I'd like to know why we couldn't bag a striker and whether the club might look back further than the last transfer window and to whether we should have recruited differently when Glenn or Tomer came in.

Also, don't expect PB to give much away. Why would he? There'll be all sorts of confidentiality issues. However, he'll probably be fairly blunt on fees and average wage salaries etc.

You think we are transparent, blimey no wonder we didn't get a striker.

It's good of him to make himself available and he's always been great at speaking to fans. But I confess I don't entirely get what he's about here. Does he WANT the critics to come out in force so he can shut them up by the force of reason? Or is he hoping no one mouthy will show so he can say there's no real issue here?

My position, for what it's worth, is that I've been strongly critical of the way window was bungled (as I see it). I've argued the club's much vaunted transfer strategy needs re-thinking. But I've said my piece elsewhere online and not on NSC.

And, although I won't agree with Mr Barber on this issue, I still think he's an excellent CEO. So, not sure there'd be much point me showing up. He won't persuade me and I won't persuade him.
