Have seen Xmas puds and mince pies on sale here in the last few days, and tonight I got treated to the first play of Fairytale of New York by The Pogues. It is only day 5 of Spring FFS!

Last week I went into a posh German Xmas shop in York, full, and I mean bulging full, with loads of German imported decorations, etc. Open all year round, but you won't find me purchasing from there. A (as in one, singular) small metal tree decoration - £25! A wooden (not gold plated, just wood) Xmassy Queen, about 8 inches high - over £100!
I'll wait for Wilkos to have a bumper Xmas assortment for £3.99.

Yes, the pattern is £5, £4, £6 then £5. Not that I've analysed it at all.
