My theory is that China simply want nothing to do with a conflict in any way and that is the reason they are allied with NK. It's simple but clever of China: If Trump aggresses China is under no obligation to assist the US military action and if NK tries to retaliate or heaven forbid, use Nukes, China can simply declare " We cannot condone or assist such acts". In short, they can sit back and stay well out of it, which is pretty much what they have been doing.

It's just a theory.

The only explanation i can think of is that they want a small conflict between the US and North Korea. The US can't afford it, if the Chinese want to be the nukber 1 global power, they need to wait for an opportunity, this war would be that opportunity. China brokers a deal, acts as a peacekeeper and gains further credibility.

It's hilarious how NK can provoke who they want and they've done far worse than Afghanistan and Iraq that's for sure.You do feel that something big is about to happen as it's been brewing up for decades.

All our worries are over given that it is National Prayer Day thanks to Trump Presidential Proclamation therefore as well as praying for Texas and California the Americans can pray for world peace which will solve everything, alternatively Trumop is building another wall and getting North Korea to pay for it

This is because the world has become too close and world integration is straining many societies throughout the world and you can include over population within that.
Things will get 10 times worse everywhere before it will get better :)

They're not allied with NK. There is a great deal of animosity between China / NK.

China don't like war, they like to bully. They could quite easily take over NK and the world won't really bat an eyelid. So to say they have no affiliation is complete fallacy. China are complicit.

In 1979, the two countries signed the Sino-North Korean Mutual Aid and Cooperation Friendship Treaty, whereby China pledged to immediately render military and other assistance by all means to its ally against any outside attack.This treaty is valid until 2021. Although, you are correct in that in the last few years their relations have taken a downturn, some row over fishing rights and of course NK's nuclear programme.

If anything is due to happen, it'll like be in the middle east more so than NK.

Yemen is currently a major proxy war between Iran and Saudi Arabia. Assad strengthening in Syria means Iran has another ally in the region. Shia militias in Iraq grown in power and influence, meaning Iran has further influence. Saudi Arabia on the other hand is drastically losing influence, major exporter and funder of extremism and is growing its military capability.

The sad thing is, Iran would be a greater ally against terrorirm than Saudi Arabia, but Saudis have the black gold and Iran doesn't have enough.

They use NK as a buffer zone from the West. They don't want North-South Korea unified controlled by the West on their border.

A Cold War relic. I don't believe it would be honoured today. Would easily be argued that NK violated terms of the treaty and China not obligated. Besides v unlikely US or anyone else is actually going to invade NK.

I think you are right. However, they are officially allies as has been referred to countless times in the news since this latest round of bother started.

Simple solution, get rid of the middle east, in fact get rid of anything exporting terrorism. Take out the home grown terrorists without question. That'll be most muslims gone. Most will say it without having the balls to admit it. Muslims are destroying our way of life. And outdated communism in countries such as NK are desperately scrambling to have an identity. See what that did for Cuba. The people suffer for this totalitarian regime. We get 'upset' whilst people die for no reason. It still happens in China and Russia too. We have our own western problem with Trump, the most hideous excuse for a President we have ever seen, in our lifetime, people actually voted for this idiot. The world is seriously f'ucked up.
