So just read the rule book :)

Can sign a third player on loan if another is currently registered but suffering from a long term injury. The one injured obviously has to go back.

Otherwise this has got to be an attempt as a permanent and undoubtedly blows wage bill out the window.

If paperwork is submitted to the Premier League that shows an intention to sign a player, then clubs can be given an extra two years to complete the formalities...

We'd probably still need another 2 hour extension.

All the Spurs fans on Reddit v happy with a loan but practically all of them want him back. Most see a role for him.

I think it would be cruel not to let the player know though?

Player does also have to sign the paperwork saying personal terms agreed.

Although - it's pretty easy to make up another reason for a deal to 'fall through' if the player signed it either way.

Technically not if Brown although registered has a long term injury but obviously yes.

( I think - just dug out rule book. Above situation has to be approved by League.

Brown is expected to return after the break from what i've read so not long term.

From what I've heard he's strong and fast. So exactly what we need. If he can resurrect his finishing he'll be a bargain. He's a slight gamble in that respect, but I don't think we could have asked for more.

Assuming this happens of course. I'm not taking anything for granted after the past week we've had
Have the medical team had a look at his dodgy hamstrings/cruciate ligaments/heart/liver/kidneys yet?

WBA offered £22m so few must be at least that

Not convinced they did though.

Be interesting to see the fee. I'd go for £15m.
