I have a man bag containing:
wallet
phone
glasses
handkerchief
tissues
deaf aid batteries
pen
notepad
torch
leatherman
penknife
tablets (her indoors is always asking me for pills for her backache)
phone charger cable
bag for life
battle of water


And yesterday it had £280 of (old style) £1 coins taken to the bank to pay in.

No, but I've got 4 Lulu Guinesses, 1 Amanda Wakeley, 4 Osprey, too many Kiplings and more that I can't remember. When the container arrives from the UK it'll be like Christmas rediscovering what I have got!!!

I have a small shoulder bag about the size of a C5 envelope .... a mini man bag

....which begs the question why a handkerchief and tissues? Doesn't one serve the function of the other or are you a belt and braces man? Likewise the Leatherman and penknife. Why invest in an expensive Leatherman only to then carry a seperate penknife. It's absolute madness.

Thanks to this thread I have discovered that I have been using a manbag for many years under the impression that I was carrying what I referred to naively as a "bag".

Was I also a member of the metropolitan elite without realising it or is it necessary to consciously choose to carry a manbag to become a member?

Got this modest Gucci number for keys, wallet, phone, sunglasses and other male essentials and yes, i do wear it to football although it does attract some unwarrented attention but who cares I'm well in touch with my feminine side to the point where some say I over-indulge it!!
