It isn't a case of agreeing with me; what I'm stating is factually correct.

(Just to clarify: if you want to make a list of up front fees, Zamora would be 100k; if you make a list of total fee paid, Zamora would be 520k. You can take your pick. But to claim that we only paid 100k for Zamora is simply wrong).

And a lot of the recent signings DO have various clauses (Jose's fee has been reported as 13.5m up front, potentially rising to 16m), so of course their final fee is as yet undetermined.

It is possible that if any of the players we have bought were bought with sell on clauses that their cost will indeed go up if sold for profit.

But as the cost figure only goes up, then their place on the list is valid for now.

Also, March no doubt has a large sell on to Lewes. If he is sold for 30 million one day, then he could well enter the list and maybe knock someone ( maybe Duffy or Ryan etc. ) out of it.

I don't believe March was on contract at Lewes (I think he was on a scholarship at Bede's). I have a note that the Argus reported (at the time of his signing by Albion) that no fee was payable by Albion to Lewes, so there won't be a sell-on due if and when he is sold.

Thanks for clearing that up. Good for us, not so good for Lewes.

All the recent entries on the list are officially undisclosed fees at any rate, so the only entity that will know with any certainty is the club itself. If they report the purchase as a record fee (as they have done with Jose) it is the best we have to go on.

I think the final fee for CMS was £3m. In the Argus in April 2015 Barry Fry (and if there is anyone who would know, it's probably him!) gave the breakdown as £2.5m up front with £10k per game for his first 50 games.

I know there was mention at the time of his signing of add-ons potentially taking the fee to £3.25m, so I assume the final quarter million wasn't triggered (promotion clause?). Happy to hear details if you know better, though.
