Refusing to sign a new contract at Burnley and available for around 10-12 million.

Exactly the sort of player we should be looking at IMO.

Because they never start him, in their 4-5-1 (with AB in the 5).

On his day, a really good striker.

In the very limited number of times we played 4-5-1 Barnes never played in the 5.

The 1 up front was either Gray or Vokes.

We gave it up as a bad job when we got hammered 4-0 at West Brom.

Think I read somewhere that he is demanding stupidly high wages compared to what Burnley have offered him.

Good enough for us? Absolutely.
Right fit? Absolutely not.

I am desperate for us to sign a striker but it has to be the right one, Andre is too risky.

You won an outstanding 10 games at home last season drawing 3. What was your system for these games and did your system change at your away games where your record was poor?

In.A.Heartbeat.

I'm sure someone will mention his homophobic slur a while back.

He's probably grown up since then.

The question is one of wages and his ambitions. I don't think he'll see us as a step up.

Get that chequebook open again Tony!

Not wanting to split hairs but today's transactions are more likely to be BACs or SWIFT, perhaps even PayPal...Now, do carry on everyone :)

Two words, one name, Chris Wood. Played regularly alongside Glenn in his time here under Gus, and l think would do again on the odd occasion Chris Hughton decides to play two big strikers up front, Far more mobile then Glen so l think the combo could work. Besides which if Glenn gets injured or suspended who would replace him then? Tomer Hemed is a competent Championship striker, but not convinced he is Premier League standard.

The big question is l suppose, what would it take to prize him away from Leeds?
