Even the BLUE rinse old ladies of Worthing have joined the LABOUR party now last night and elected their FIRST ever Labour councillor, I heard many were in the HAIR salons this morning DEMANDING a RED rinse for the weekend.

Nowhere is safe from MOMENTUM and the march to rid the countries of the DESPICABLE Tories , UKIP goes to Labour in Margate too.

May as well stay in Italy on her holidays as her time as PM is OVER.

Cool story bro, meanwhile in a beautiful East Sussex village nr Lewes many folk have gathered to celebrate the life of a great Albion supporting legend, much more interesting don't you think than your dumb buffoonish stories?

It's Marine Ward too, which used to be a Conservative stronghold, along with Heene and Goring, and it's in the Worthing West constituency, so this is quite a shock. If it had been East Worthing or Broadwater, it wouldn't have been, as Labour nearly won those wards in the County Council election, and Tim Loughton only won Worthing East and Shoreham by about 5,500 votes. Here is the result:

Worthing – Marine

Labour 1,032 (47.4 per cent, +27.8 on 2016) Conservatives 846 (38.8 per cent, -6.4) Lib Dems 246 (11.3 per cent, +1.1) Green Party 55 (2.5 per cent, -6.2).*

Of course, we know that local election results have very little bearing on General Election results. The Liberal Democrats did extremely well in local elections in the last Parliament, and it didn't exactly benefit them.

* Yes, I am a sad git who follows local election results and “needs to get a life”.

To be fair, I don't really see what that has to do with anything. I'm sure Lord B wouldn't want the whole of NSC to stop talking about anything but him today.

I have always been against socialism, but having seen how well it is working in Venezuela, I am now also thinking of supporting the current Labour party.

Jeremy Corbyn has always hailed Venezuela as the model to follow. He has failed to condemn the actions of the current party, so he must still fully support it.

If Mr Corbyn ever got the chance to impediment his wishful manifesto, 741% inflation is what we will have to look forward to.

We did actually have a Labour councillor back in the seventies for a while but I must admit I didn't think I'd live to see another one.

The times they are a changin'.

Agree - Montague Street paving, Grafton Bowling alley car part graffiti 'art' and the new Montague Quarter for dining - all follies that don't come up to the mark.

Teville Gate going no where but hopefully when Stagecoach move from their seafront location next to the Dome then they can fully pedestrianise South Street and replace te current dogs dinner that it is. Then pedestrianise Portland Market and there may be more cohesion in the town centre and a flow of foot fall in the evenings between these areas.

Although looking at the trial paving in Montague Street then maybe just leave it - Is it really that hard not to get ideas from other towns and see that its not hard to replace paving to make it look more inviting and practical, rather than the trialled red brick that wont last long at all.

What an eyesore and complete waste of space Teville Gate is. Could they not just use the car park for P & R with pay and display tickets to use on the buses from the station. Only a thought as nobody seems to have found a use for it so far.
