It all depends on the TYPE of striker we will be buying. If it's a nippy one then we need Hemed in the squad and I think he'll do just fine

If we end up buying another big lump, then I'd expect 12 million for Hemed or about 6 for Murray. Whichever we got a full whack deal for first could go as don't need both on the bench. But well we need that starting lump in first else all moot....... 4 million is a complete joke for a Champ striker these days. You'd pay more than that for a top league 1 one sadly

He was mustard when given the chance last season..
The competition with Murray definitely fired him on and that is a very encouraging sign.
Top professional - deserves his chance in the Prem.

Second striker/false number 9 seems to be the type of striker we need. Quicker and stronger version of Baldock.

This was my interpretation as well. We went trough a patch mid-season two seasons back where the midfield was gutted by injury and just wasn't able to feed the pointy end with many quality chances. Once we reinforced the midfield, and guys came back from injury, the front men got some quality delivery and started scoring.

It's not always the striker being shit when they aren't scoring. They rely on quality delivery for the majority of their goals. Of course, a quality striker can make something happen out of nothing, but that sort of thing still won't be that common if the midfield isn't delivering.

Helmed has taken over from Barnes as the top scorer at the Amex. He scores goals in international games, so I think he will be ok in the Prem.

Always liked Hemed, great in the air and has some superb touches. £4m is no where near enough to consider selling. Hopefully club will announce he's signed a new contract in next few days.

No, no, no, no, no! Selling him now would be daft - as things stand at present he is one of only three strikers we've got (unless they're planning to break every rule in the Brighton and Hove Albion Absolute Never-to-be-Broken Rule Book, and play teenage strikers (Maguire-Drew or Connolly) up front; which they won't!) - so there can be no question of letting him go until we've got enough new (and improved) forwards in.
If we'd landed Defoe, Abrahams and Brown that might be different, but we haven't, so at the moment Tomer is a vital part of our squad.

when Hemed was called upon if Murray was rested or out for any other reason he never let us down. He was also our top scorer the season before why do so many here underestimate him. He can do a job in the prem even if only as backup. We wont get another striker good enough or as good as for £4m now we are in the prem.
