Yeah, and all this live group video is not good for the kids either. Fine for my wife and our 'group video chat' married friends though...

I started using it a couple of years ago when we set up groups to manage events; conferences, performances etc. It worked brilliantly for that and i now use it for personal stuff.

Really? Just about everyone I know has one, even the die hard Samsung'ers who appear to have returned to the fold

I use whatsapp all the time... Couldn't live without it... Crossplatform so the apple vs android issue is irrelevant. Big in Spain!

They were all blown up by the Americans according to some documentary on TV I just made up.

Or you socialise with incredibly clumsy people.

My money is on the latter.

I have had iphones since the 3, probably 10 years? and i work in construction, or "on the tools" and have never broken a screen yet.

Every single day. Have various groups setup for mates, football mates, work mates, family etc etc. So much easier than multiple texts, free photo messaging. Can't remember what it was like without it to be honest.

Not knowing any iPhone owners seems to be a bit of an anomaly, as does NSC's usage statistics given that Android ownership dwarfs iPhone ownership.

We use it for calls and video calls amongst the family, probably because I stubbornly refuse to move over to (the clearly superior) Apple technology.

Edit to add: We use it all the time for sharing photos and experiences with other family members, be it at home or on holiday.
