I would add Freddie and the Dreamers to this list.

Totally.
And what was that dance all about, I don't think I have seen such a ridiculous move to a song.
Can't put vid on at the moment.
I also have to add Cilla Black. She sang some nice songs and at times she had a nice tone but as soon as she went up a few octaves her voice was unbearable.

Led Zeppelin and Status Quo

Status Quo never pretended to be anything more than they were. Wrote simple songs maybe but they were certainly catchy.

Led Zeppelin - are you serious ?!?! The Houses of the Holy album (as an example) is a work of genius
In my opinion like......

Since this is probably the dumbest thread on NSC in years, I nominate:

The Beatles
The Rolling Stones
The Who

A matter of personal taste of course, but surely three of the crappest, most overrated bands ever. How they became successful, lord only knows:facepalm:

Each to their own.

But 10cc admitted it:
"It's one thing to know it,
And another to admit,
We're the worst band in the world
And we don't give a ........... "

PS - but they weren't......

I guess you had to be there at the time.

What's not to like?

I was there at the time, and I always thought they were the biggest load of overrated hype in existence. Just noisy and unoriginal.

But most of my (student) friends liked them at the time, so....... As I have said elsewhere, each to their own.
