Such a shame he lost to Sam Querrey, so average at everything other than serving. And if he plays Cilic it will be a rubbish semi final. Federer or Djokovic will win comfortably now.

I'll say this for Murray, the bloke has played on in agony hardly able to walk - unlike all those first-round flakes this year who couldn't wait to call it a day after a set and walk off with £35,000.

Fair play, he was clearly severely hampered and playing on one leg but why the hell didn't he call the trainer out? Looks suspiciously like they gambled on his fitness and knew that if he broke down, there was little they could do about it. Playing on for two sets may have done even more damage than was necessary. He knew he was struggling. Sheer will power got him through the third set but it was obvious early in the fourth that he had gone. It was at that point he should have called it a day.

But he didn't give his all, he wasn't able to. He allowed himself to be humiliated against a pretty ordinary player for two painful sets. He was reduced to playing like a park player, immobile and having to play little dolly shots. If he had called it a day, early in the fourth, he would have retained his dignity and wouldn't have let a player he would normally beat easily at Wimbledon, rub his nose in it.
It wasn't a fantastic run, he struggled in all his matches and had to drag himself through all the rounds. For Murray, it was a pretty ordinary tournament.
