So politics features quite heavily for you then. On that basis then I'd have no affection for Chile. Supporting a colonial power doesn't win political brownie points for me.

Now on footballing merits... if you'd mentioned Salas and Zamorano then I'd be right with you. Their current team are generally quite exciting to watch too.


England are my only international team, because I'm English. Nigeria are my 'second team' because my wife is Nigerian.

Even though i usually want them to loose, Germany always have my total respect that after a long hard season they manage to win or do very well in international tournaments time and time again.
