The Rafa is unhappy stories are not going away. The "Chinese" are rumoured to be interested in buying but perhaps are being put off by the taxman still going through the "accounts".

They are just waiting for us to be linked to a player.

Not noticed how as soon as it goes quiet here with players being linked to us Newcastle all of a sudden isn't linked to players.

Would be pretty bloody funny if he walks a week before the first game.

The closer to the start of the season the better, would even take him walking out after the first couple of games. Especially if they lose, he will claim he couldn't sufficiently strengthen and walk out. :flounce::flounce:

The biterness and delusions of grandeur that run through that club are unbelievable:

http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/former-bristol-city-star-tammy-140426

Former Bristol City star Tammy Abraham has been labelled ‘weak’ by former Newcastle United striker-turned-pundit Micky Quinn.

The 19-year-old Chelsea striker, who is currently away with England Under-21s at the European Championships, scored 26 goals for the Robins during his season-long loan at Ashton Gate.

Now, as he makes decision over the season ahead it is believed he is close to agreeing a season-long loan move to Premier League side Swansea City.

The news comes after it was reported he was very close to signing on the dotted line for the newly-promoted Magpies.

But a national report over the weekend suggested Stamford Bridge chiefs advised Abraham to elect for Swansea rather than the North East because of the region's famed nightlife.

It is this supposed reason behind Abraham preferring South Wales that has made Quinn criticise the youngster in his column for the Chronicle.

The retired forward cites Swansea's instability and comparing the stature of the two clubs as reasons why Abraham has chosen unwisely.

"I have to say I am extremely disappointed in Tammy Abraham," he said.

"If he really is set to choose Swansea City over Newcastle United, I would seriously question his decision.

"It shouldn’t take me to tell him that Newcastle is a far bigger football club than Swansea.

"I admit I didn’t release just how huge a club Newcastle was until I signed, but I always knew it was a big club. It’s obvious to anyone outside that Newcastle is one of the top few clubs in the country.

"And you just have to look at the situation at both clubs at the moment as well.

"At St James’ Park there is a club on the up with a world-class manager who can really go places if Rafa Benitez is backed.

"At the Liberty Stadium, you have a club who only just survived last season and are likely to be battling relegation again next term.

"True Abraham is only going to be loaned out for a single season, but does he want to experience playing football in front of a pressurised environment?

"St James’ Park, in front of 52,000 passionate Geordies, is the place for that."

Quinn, who played more than 100 games for the Magpies, went further, labelling his decision "pathetic" and suggested Newcastle are better off without the 26-goal forward. Any excuse offered up by Abraham would be "weak", Quinn maintains.

All this despite the fact it is the Swans, and not Newcastle, who spent last season in the top flight, while Benitez's men were battling to get out of the second tier.

Yet Quinn also says when the two managers, Paul Clement and Benitez, are stacked up there is no comparison, claiming the former Liverpool boss is on a "different level".

"This claim that Abraham rejected Newcastle because of the nightlife seems pathetic to me as well," he added.

"It’s a cracking night out in the city, and players should be able to enjoy that - but all in moderation.

"If he can’t trust himself to work hard on the training field and then every now and again let some steam off down the Quayside then perhaps he is better off not coming to the North East.

"What frustrates me about this situation though is it strikes me as a footballer failing to think for himself. Undoubtedly an agent has got into his ear and wrongly advised him that Swansea is the club for him next season.

"That is total rubbish. Rafa is the manager who can make Abraham realise his potential. Paul Clement seems to be a decent coach, but Rafa is on a different level altogether.

"I don’t know Abraham personally and I don’t know his exact reasons for choosing Swansea over Newcastle but, quite frankly, any excuse would be weak in my eyes.

"If he doesn’t realise that, then perhaps it’s best he has chosen to go elsewhere after all."

Really? I would think it's obvious they aren't and will be lucky to finish mid-table.

He should maybe reconsider his 'big club' thing. Since Swansea got into the Premier League they've not been relegated. Newcastle on the other hand....

He is also ranting about something that might not even be fact. That is to say, I don't see Swansea as having got any Abraham deal over the line, despite all these media ''know it all'' claims.

It's been a slow burner for me, but I'm beginning to really enjoy the pending implosion coming from nearly Scotchland.
It's probably something to do with Newcastle being the club to 'watch out for' this season.

Anyway 2 more snippets via the BBC:-

Midfielder Jack Colback, 27, is set to leave Newcastle after a training ground row with boss Rafael Benitez. (Daily Mail)

Newcastle owner Mike Ashley says he cannot compete financially with the top Premier League clubs so cannot give manager Rafael Benitez enough money to spend in the transfer window. (Sky Sports)

How is it every fan can see what's coming, yet 95% of the pundits can't?
