It it just me, or . . . genuinely winced when I saw that :wrong:

I have a lot of replica shirts, with a myriad of names on the back. For me it must be a player. Last year I had a home shirt with Knockaert's name, and an away shirt with Kayal. This year I shall take great pleasure in popping into the club shop and selecting various shirts for me and the family.

Also, despite being quite old and not as slim as I was, yes, I WILL wear a replica shirt out and about for no apparent reason. Cycling at Rye; shopping in Canterbury . . . yes, I am a free human being living somewhere that is not a police state need neither the permission nor the approval of 'the herd' over my personal lifestyle choices. :O

It's hard to tell from your post so I have to ask .... you did understand the combination of 'Together' and 69 ?

I'm not someone that buys the latest replica shirt for myself, I will buy one for my youngest son and he usually has number 6 ( his favourite number) and his name.
I have no problem with seeing grown men wearing replica shirts, but I do find it odd when it's freezing cold and I see someone wearing a replica shirt over 2 jumpers and a hoody, just to show their teams colours.
I saw one chap at Withdean on a very rainy day wearing full wet weather gear with an Albion shirt over the raincoat. :wozza:

Could have been worse I was also considering DING DONG and HUBBA HUBBA.

Seriously though I haven't ordered a replica shirt yet but probably will at some point. Bought a few over the years, no names or numbers though. Worn them occasionally to matches, playing sport/exercise, holidays (at the beach).

Not sure they are suitable for every occasion but each to their own. I'm sure you look splendid HWT

I wear my shirt at work when the Albion are on the box. Doesn't go down too well with the local Nigel's but they can suck my gooch

If they give me too much hassle I simply throw them out!

Ordered mine with 'April 17' on the back and bugger to anyone who judges me for wearing whatever the f**k I want to wear.

You go for it. April is a lovely girls name and nothing better than seeing a 17 year old girl in a tight fitting replica shirt:D

IMO grown men can wear what they want, it's a free country, however I do notice usually on holiday, in a nice restaurant the woman has usually made an effort, while the man (often over 40) is wearing a replica shirt. In most cases said shirt is Burnley

I don't think there is anything wrong with anyone wearing football shirts to football matches. Or on holiday for that matter.

Its the intent of the wearer that I find ''suspect'' - If they wear it in the hope that while on holiday someone will see it in the hope that someone from the same region as them will notice and speak to or make themselves known to them. Well that smacks of desperation in the hope they might meet a new friend. That's sad.

I go on holiday to escape meeting people I might know or who are local to me. The last thing I want is to meet or socialise with anyone on holiday who potentially lives within a 50 mile radious at home.

I like the kit. I think it's really nice looking.

That aside, I wouldn't be seen in it. My own personal opinion, but I think it looks a bit chav to wear on the terraces unless you're under 16.

That said, it looks nice when there are loads of Blue & White stripes in the crowd - you can't deny that.

I'm all for something 'in colour' and with the badge on. I'll be wearing something like this for the coming season (daaahling..)

I don't like the back of the shirt either. I haven't treated myself to a new shirt since the Amex opened, so what the heck, 6 years later and a few pounds heavier. Oh well.....

Bit 'up yourself' aren't you ?

I wear my retro Albion shirt sometimes when I'm abroad - not through a desperate attempt to connect with anyone, but because its a comfortable, loose-fitting shirt and I like it. My Palookaville one as well sometimes. I have no problem with meeting people local-ish to me when I go abroad - I certainly wouldn't be rolling my eyes and slowly edging away if someone from Horsham clocked it and struck up a convo. I'd judge them on their personality and company, not whether they happened to live in the same county.

I might have considered getting one if Nike had not given us another utter piss take of a kit. It will be embarrassing seeing us in the top flight in that off the shelf half and half kit.

Embarrassing? Not sure about that. It is, after all, just a shirt. It's what the 11 players wearing them do that should be on your mind.

And, for what it's worth, I like the kit. It's a bit haphazard and weird and frankly that speaks to me. Plus it's the first Nike kit without an iron on panel. Not to mention it's our first Premier League kit so an auto-purchase for many of us.
