Sweaty but nice, poor dog is suffering a bit though but I'm giving her a constant supply of chilled water and got the fans on.

Hate this weather - meant to be playing cricket tomorrow and am wondering whether to get out of it.

And my poor dog is really suffering from it ... she's scarcely been walked for days

Give me a cold, crisp winter's day

Always found it easier to get warmer in a cold situation by putting on a jumper or whatever, getting cooler in higher temperatures (unless one has the luxury of a/c at home) is a little more tricky, leaving moist areas.

37c here in Vietnam which means I haven't been wandering around Hoi An as much as I planned to but fortunately I'm about 3 meters from a swimming pool. Nighttime's alright though, it's drops down to only 31c.

It might be a record here in Las Vegas today, just the 47 Degrees C. Me and the Dog are going nowhere.

You're all a bunch of pussies. Today's been a bit colder, but last Thursday it hit 48oC - just to let us know summer's on the way...

Just to cheer us up its predicted to be the hottest June day today since 1976.

How long before the taps run dry?

Today - Tuesday - was officially the (tied) 4th hottest Phoenix day since records began in 1895. 119F - that's 48.3C

I like the heat . . . abroad because we don't do heat in this country very well - anything over about 25 degrees becomes too humid
I go on holiday to hot places but the difference is that it's normally a dry heat most places I go AND, crucially, there's normally a nice cooling swimming pool within a couple of yards

Quite enjoying it. I work in maintenance and construction so it could be awful but on days like these I concentrate on working in the grounds , get the sprinklers on, all the sun awnings out, fill the freezer with lollies, fridge with jugs of water and make sure I'm in a beer garden by 4.
Too hot? Pah! Heaven.

Sounds great. I'm imagining that Phoenix has pretty low humidity, so it's quite bearable, right?

Hottest I ever experienced was about 51°C (124F) in a place appropriately called Sandfire (technically Sandfire Roadhouse, as it consists of approximately one building) in Western Australia. But it's on the edge of the Great Sandy Desert and the humidity was zero, so it was quite pleasant. The gentle breeze just made your cheeks glow, just like standing in front of a bonfire.

Long may the heat last, I say.
