and do you love people following you and admiring/slagging your posts off.

From someone who hasn't got a clue, what is the attraction of having a Twitter account for you?

Genuinely interested.

I joined twitter 8 years ago and it was a very different place than it is now. I've got people I interact with (in a positive way!) still from then and enjoy it. Can't imagine joining now and trying to make "friends" with people as so many people just want to shout and troll.

Its great for news and when big news stories are breaking, I've been steering clear for the past week or so as its just arguments about politics and slagging David Stockdale off which is a bit tedious.

Its brilliant during the season and especially around game times if you aren't at the game, you can talk football with fellow fans during game times.

Get fairly immediate updates on travel, news and BHAFC.

I have very few followers. I rarely post.

I follow a two 'celeb' accounts - Richard Osman, Comedy Steve. Plus Albion related stuff, Club page, Naylor, AZ Gull's Albion Youth, NSC and Sussex CCC

I've gradually regressed from social media generally.

I do have a Twitter account and did so from pretty early on - before anyone else I know - but I don't look at it from one week to the next any more and post very infrequently. I will often jump onto Twitter when there is a high profile news story breaking, but that will only be to try and find out what is going on, I won't be contributing.

Most days I don't look at Facebook and, when I do, it's a very quick scan for a few minutes. I think I've posted there 3 or 4 times in 2017.

I do a little bit of Instagram story stuff (essentially their copy of Snapchat stories) as it allows a little bit of creativity to be used and, most importantly, the shit I post disappears after 24 hours.

I do use Twitter and Facebook on behalf NSC, but even then I often go several days without even looking at it. I'm not sure I've looked at #bhafc since I left Villa Park.

I do, yes. Have a twitter account, that is. I signed up during a frozen winter and train difficulties from London. So, when opening my account every 2 months or so, I get to see about 400 messages from Thameslink and National Rail. It's fascinating. Natchy.
I sometimes think I should get into it more and emit brief twitteries, but I can't seem to muster the confidence in creating a gallery of my thinkings, as that would be. I seem to prefer to be a tiny squeaking dot in an ocean of blather, here, with you chaps and chappesses.

Nope, and 6 months ago closed my facebook. Best thing I ever did was getting off all that stuff. Don't miss it one bit

My only social media presence is my Twitter account.

I'm a football / gaming blogger so it's important for me to maintain an online profile to generate views etc and I do enjoy the debates that can often erupt. It is absolutely full to the brim of complete tossers though but, because the internet is a fairly accurate microcosm of society, you'll find those same tossers offline as well.

It's easy enough to avoid the shit side of it.

Yes. Quite like it. Good for following news, politics and sport. Prefer to Facebook. Don't give a monkeys about likes or who follows who. Don't post much but enjoy reading what others put on there. Often genuinely v funny. It's what you make it. Never got in a spat or argued with anyone. But then I don't tend to in the real world either.

Yes. I set one up purely to drive some work PR with a previous job by retweeting anyone talking about the companies product.

Those are the only posts I've ever made....apart from one drunken message to Rick Stein which he then retweeted :lolol: I then realised I could never top that so haven't posted since.

I log on to it for breaking news events and traffic updates.

Yes - just to be able to view really. Think I have only ever retweeted a couple of things and posted automated tweets when backing things on Kickstarter and have a ridiculous number of followers - 15. They must all like the strong and, more importantly, silent type! :censored:

Yep. As others have said, its excellent for up-to-the-second news about anything. You can react and interact with other fans, friends, journalists, slebs. There's an endless stream of amusing pics and videos which are often laugh-out-loud funny. There's free porn. Its informative, its immediate, its addictive, and you don't get any of the boring cryptic "grrr so pissed off right now" or "can't sleep" or "oh I'm so ill  " posts that constantly festoon Facebook fishing for the "you alright hun? " responses. You can also openly "call out" businesses on there when their responses to getting something fixed has been less than satisfactory. A bloke here at work went postal on BT when they once again failed to connect his broadband. Went on Twitter and publically ranted at their @BTcustomerservice (or whatever the handle is), threw a few shitty hashtags at them, and within an hour he'd been contacted and it was sorted.

I love it.

Can understand it if you are involved with media, politics, sport, music etc. Can't see the point if you are working in a travel agents in Littlehampton.

Two. One where I just tweet shit about football. Second I take quite seriously and have amassed several thousands followers many of whom I engage with daily. It's good fun. As other have said it's perfect for breaking news.
