Surely only a matter of time. As Nigel Evans MP said, in what is still my favourite analysis of the election to date: "We didn't shoot ourselves in the foot. We shot ourselves in the head."

I reckon it will be David Davis, before Christmas. Dull, but 'safe.'

I'd imagine Ruth Davidson is the one Labour fear, but that's complicated.

Someone who's ego is so enormous that all sense will be overcome as they put themselves forward to 'rescue' the complete cluster**** that is now brexit. All the others will take a large step back for a while.

Odd thread for you to open and comment on then ???

Probably because I used to be a tory voter but now I don't think they deserve anyone's support. They have no soul at all.

She's certainly putting a good case forwards just needs a safe seat

Surely Amber Rudd has a decent chance as much as the rest of them?

Even if she wasn't utterly vacuous and useless - which she is - the party will be very cautious about electing a leader will a majority of just a few hundred or so in their constituency.

Boris is the clear favourite and although he clearly fancies the job, I suspect he doesn't want it nowish. Let someone deal with the aftermath of this election cluster**** and then ease into the position ahead of the next election if the Tories are able to string it out long enough.

Davis is the clear second favourite and then Rudd and Davidson are the only other realistic contenders according to current odds.

That's true, I forgot about her small majority.
I've noticed it's all quiet on the bonking Boris front.
Perhaps?
